A big thank you to all of you who are encouraging us on this walk. We endured freezing temperatures and frozen Snickers on our first walk over Harter Fell and Kentmere Pike :-).
On our second walk, over Loughrigg, we faced 80mph winds and hailstones, but it is all worth it. Hannah is digging in and fighting for the summits. It will become easier for her, and us, as we move into summer.
Last night our friends pledged £107 – that is 50p per mountain – bringing our total of pledges to £418. People have chosen to save 50p for each mountain we climb and found it an easy way to give. Over the year, the accumulation will hardly be noticeable in their pockets, yet for these children, it will make a huge difference.
Also thank you to Anne, who has given £36 on our just giving page. Today we have a total of £464 towards helping Tearfund prevent these children from being trafficked and giving them hope for the future. We are greatly encouraged. Thank you, everyone.
